Dewhurst Leaps even Lower in Texas Senate Race

There is a way to tell how a person will govern by looking how they run their campaign.  Dewhurst has recently gone of the deep in (my words), because he wants voters to believe that Ted Cruz supports amnesty.  You know this is a desperate addition to his attacks on Cruz because if it were true, he would have used it much earlier. Think about it, in Texas, this would have been one of the most powerful attacks if it were true. Why would he wait until now to use it, when it would have been more effective to let the word spread.  Dewhurst knows that this is not true, and is hoping just enough people hear about this, and vote for Dewhurst or don't show up. The idea is that there is not enough time to effectively get the truth out. That is where the grassroots comes into play.

In a email to supporters of Cruz, JoAnn Fleming states that this attack "is completely false, but it’s also shameful race-bating."  She also nails it when she states this is nothing more than a power play designed to hold on to power.  She moves on to point out that Cruz "successfully defended Texas’s right to execute an illegal alien for raping and murdering two teenage girls."

Fleming writes "As chair of the Advisory Committee to the TEA Party Caucus of the TX Legislature,[she has] watched the Lt. Governor very closely. Here’s the truth on David Dewhurst:

1) Supported in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.
2) Waffled on a border fence.
3) Refused to pass legislation fining Texas employers who hire illegal immigrants at the expense of hard-working Texans.

"As we say in East Texas, “That dog won’t hunt!” said Fleming

Look, if you look at the people who have endorsed Ted Cruz, and those who have endorsed David Dewhurst, a clear picture emerges. Ted Cruz is the true conservative that is needed in the Senate.  Dewhurst touts the endorsement of Rick Perry as proof that he is conservative, but I suspect that is nothing more the a Governor endorsing his  Lieutenant Governor.  The way Perry probably looked at it was that if Dewhurst loses, then he has to rely on him to help run the state of Texas, and that would have been more difficult to do under the stress of  a tug-of-war between the Gov. and his Lieutenant Gov.

Cruz has the endorsement of Sarah Palin, Tea Party Express, Sean Hannity, Rand Paul, Rick Santorum, Pat Toomey, Mark Levin, Mike Lee, Jim Demint, the Club for Growth Pac, and many more well know conservatives. You just do not get this level of endorsement from the countries great conservatives if not for the reputation of being a fighter for conservative causes. Does anybody really believe that the members of this list would endorse a candidate that supports amnesty. Dewhurst is hoping that the voters will look at Cruz's Hispanic background and except that me may indeed be for amnesty, but the simple truth is that he isn't, and never was.

  1. It's fun to watch the terrible things that Repubs accuse each other of.

"He subscribed to the golden rule"
"Once when he was a teenager he committed an act of charity"

    LOL

Seems to me Cruz can respond with Rick Perry's defense line "It takes balls to execute an innocent man" :)

    1. If in fact the man was innocent. The thing is, no one is positive either way, but if the courts wont stay, then the gov should have stayed to make sure, but I am not privy to the same information that he has.
